Kamala Harris shredded for word salad repeating the phrase 'children of the community:' 'Why is she like this'

Vice President Kamala Harris faced widespread mockery on Wednesday after her latest speech, where she repeatedly used the phrase "the children of the community."

Harris was speaking at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's 47th Annual Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. While she provided limited specifics about her presidential campaign policies, one part of her speech drew particular attention. Discussing the importance of supporting families so parents can "raise their children well," she stated, "I grew up understanding the children of the community are the children of the community, and we should all have a vested interest in ensuring that children can grow up with the resources they need to achieve their God-given potential."

Steamboat Institute Fellow Kaylee McGhee White and former New York State Senator David Carlucci (D) discuss Kamala Harris’ ABC interview and the flip-flops the vice-president has made on various issues.

The remark quickly caught the attention of political commentators on social media, with many criticizing the phrasing.
